Why Not A 'Big Box' Host?

Big hosting companies can be fine if you know what you’re doing — but a lot of small businesses get nudged into paying for confusing bundles, “managed” plans that don’t actually manage your site, and add-ons that should be standard. I offer hosting because I want to offer an option that fits both my client's budget and technical requirements. Always.

Typical Managed Hosting

  • Website is 'managed' by you
  • Backups, security, and performance are extra
  • Promo pricing, then renewal sticker shock
  • AI chat bot or offshore support
  • Requests always turn into upsells
  • No one but you is checking on your site

Hands-Off Hosting + Support

  • Hosting plus a real person who handles it
  • Regular updates, backups & security
  • Clear annual pricing, no surprise add-ons
  • Dedicated developer who knows your site
  • Help that’s practical, not a sales funnel
  • Monthly or quarterly proactive maintenance

Big hosts make money on volume and add-ons. We make money by keeping your website stable, secure, and handled year after year.

Built on Fireweed

New sites are built on Fireweed — our proprietary theme framework that uses the modern WordPress block editor instead of bloated page builders and a pile of plugins. The result is faster, safer, lower-maintenance, and future-proof — which keeps your annual plan affordable and your site healthy for years.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn't here, ask.

Do I need to log into WordPress or manage anything myself?

No. The whole point is hands-off. You send us what you want changed and we handle it. You never have to learn WordPress, hosting, or plugins unless you want to.

Do you offer hosting and domain names?

Yes, but they are add-ons to annual plans — never sold on their own.

Hands-off hosting is $50/year: we manage your server, performance, and SSL.

Domain name purchase/renewal & DNS management is $20/year* — you are completely welcome to manage your own domain, we only offer this service to simplify and streamline development.

*Typical cost; domain registration varies by name and TLD and could be higher.

Can I keep my current host?

Yes. You can keep your current host and we'll maintain the site there, or we can move everything to our AWS backed virtual private server hosting for free when you start an annual plan.

What if I need more than the Support plan includes?

Larger or ongoing project work moves into a custom contract billed at our project rate, so you only pay for the extra help when you actually need it.

Do you only work with businesses in Bremerton and Kitsap County?

We're based in Bremerton, WA and love working with Kitsap and Puget Sound businesses, but we work with small businesses remotely across the country too.

Do you build new websites as well as maintain them?

Yes. We build and redesign websites as one-time projects, and most clients then move onto an annual plan so the site stays fast, secure, and up to date.

What's the difference between hosting and maintenance?

Hosting is just the server your website lives on. Maintenance is the ongoing work that keeps it secure, updated, fast, and current. Companies like GoDaddy sell you hosting; we handle the actual work for you.
